"Julia is one of my favorite people to work with. She’s cut everything from corporate sizzle reels and branded content to doc and fiction narrative for me. Since I started working with her some two years ago, she’s been my go-to; first call. Her knowledge of various platforms makes her an all-in-one package; yes, she’s technically skilled, creative, a great collaborator and problem-solver. But she’s also a fantastic person — her energy and enthusiasm keeps projects going."
"Julia is lightning fast, technically adept and an overall joy to work with. Every opportunity to work with her is a pleasure. As a filmmaker, you can rest assured the editing is in very capable hands."
"Julia collaborates with great creativity and witty problem-solving for even the most difficult edits. I'm also impressed by her ability to quickly apply her skills to execute, as well as enhance notes from the director. Her work ethic and positive energy are both excellent and refreshing. She is extremely easy to work with and a great asset."
"Julia is energetic, committed and always works towards important goals. I have the pleasure of working with Julia on San Jose State University's Spartan Hyperloop project. Although Julia works remote for our project, she is constantly on top of her work, a true professional. I'm thankful as the business team lead to have Julia's expertise and support. Julia's work-rate is unmatched and should be valued by any team fortunate enough to recruit her."
I fell in love with filmmaking at the age of 10. As a kid, it was my way to share fun stories and convey important messages. Though I grew up in a small town, it provided me with countless subjects to film and lots of editing opportunities. Throughout my teenage years, I wrote, directed, filmed and edited numerous projects with my best friends.
When it came time to think about college, I knew that the next step in my career was to attend film school at the center of the industry: Los Angeles. Though a film college education was impossible for my family to afford, I applied for and won numerous scholarships. Additionally, I enrolled in community college in 10th grade, taking advantage of the high-school student discounts offered for online courses.
By the time I graduated high school, I was a sophomore in college.
My 3 years in film school were invaluable. While my hometown was the perfect place to foster creativity, college was the right environment for me to learn industry-standard practices and programs. I graduated in 2020 as Salutatorian with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in Cinema: Video-Editing, and zero debt.
Since then, I have been freelance-editing in Los Angeles, while directing personal projects in my spare time. I'm extremely grateful to do what I love for a living, collaborating on amazing projects and meeting fantastic people along the way. I have worked incredibly hard my entire life to get where I am, and so I can promise the utmost passion for any project I take on. Work ethic, positive thinking and perseverance are everything to me.
